Vogel, Robert E., 95, of Willow Street, PA, went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2013. Formerly of Northfield and Seaville, NJ. He was born in Atlantic City, son of Edwin R. and Mabel Latimer Vogel.
He is survived by a devoted wife of 66 years, Ruth (Ziegler), and two sons, Richard (Cheryl) of Colorado, and Paul (Terry) of Northfield, NJ; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
He retired after 25 years as Headquarters Account Salesman for HJ Heinz Company. He then accepted a position as Treasurer of the City of Northfield, and ended his employment at Sight and Sound, Strasburg, PA.
He was a New Jersey State Certified Municipal Officer and was past Treasurer of the NJ Municipal Finance Officers Assn. He was one of the founders and charter members of the Northfield All-Sports Assn. He served on the Mainland Regional High School Board of Education and was a member of the Ocean City Presbyterian Church. He honorably served in the Army, during World War II, in the European Theater and a member of the Northfield American Legion Post 295.
Friends and relatives are respectfully invited from 10 am to 11 am, on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Laurel Memorial Park, in Pomona.
