Ray was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served our country in Korea. After receiving his Naval discharge in 1954, Ray became a jack of all trades and did everything from drive a taxi to becoming a furrier to his final position with St Luke’s Hospital where he made very good friends and was able to retire. In between his stint with the US Navy and his death Ray led a life that touched so very many people. He never met a stranger and was always up for shenanigans of all kinds. He found the love of his life in Glenda and lost her to a courage battle with cancer in 1975. He found love again and a wonderful companion in Diana. Ray proudly raised 2 children and saw them bought through lifes struggles and let them help him to a spry 79. Ray was quick to smile and laugh and to give and receive hugs and kisses.
Ray’s family would like to extend heartfelt and eternal thanks to the following that so selflessly helped Ray in the final months of his life: Heartland Hospice and Home Instead. These wonder organizations allowed for Ray to remain home with the care and assistance that was needed and allowed him to be where he most wanted to be with the ones he loved most.
