Mary Ann Byrd, nee Fisher, 46, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born July 24, 1966, in Alton, Ill., died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Byrd was a loving wife and mother and will be always remembered for being a very strong and positive person and yet she remained humble. She was very inspirational to all who knew her. She and her husband, Paul, started the Madison County Challenger Baseball Team for disabled children. So many lives were touched by her kindness and love. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Maryville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth E. Fisher.
Surviving are her husband, Paul D. Byrd of Glen Carbon, Ill.; two sons, Caleb Byrd and Ben Byrd, both of Glen Carbon, Ill.; her mother, Walburga "Wally" Fisher; a sister, Michelle (Jim) Graham of Rosewood Heights, Ill.; a brother, Eric (Shara) Fisher of Rosewood Heights, Ill.; her grandmother, Louise Fisher of Edwardsville, Ill.; her mother-in-law, Betty Byrd of Maryville, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Lori (Johnny) Waltman of Maryville, Ill.; and other family, many friends, and her church family.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Maryville, Ill., with Pastor Greg Hart officiating. Burial will be held in Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill.
