Funeral services for Ruby Marie Langston will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2006 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Fred Kelsey officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.
Mrs. Langston, 81, of Ball, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 12, 2006, at 5 a.m. in the Oaks Care Center, Pineville.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William T. Langston of Sicily Island; one son, David Carroll; two daughters, Lucille Perkins and Phyllis Redwine; and her parents, Arthur and Lucille Veuleman.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Verheyden of Deville and Jenness Brady of Alexandria; a brother, Donald Veuleman of Wisner; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Justin Redwine, Bradley Guillot, Jason Guillot, Lee Carroll, Rocky Voltolina, Kevin Sweeney, Anthony Lester, Zane Easterling, Eddie Verheyden, and Therand Thacker.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Oaks Care Center in Pineville, and the Staff of Hospice Care of Louisiana for the excellent care of Ruby during her brief stay as a cancer patient.
