Kenneth W. Byrd, 75, of Franklin, Indiana passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was born September 28, 1937 in McCreary County, Kentucky. He was a robotic technician for Cincinnati, Ohio for over twenty years. He enjoyed classical and country music, riding roller coasters, board games, watching television, trains, history, and his family.
Survivors include his two sisters, Phyllis Carr of Franklin and Hisel Bonnick of Alexander, Kentucky; a brother, Arch Carr of Bellview, Kentucky; nine nieces and nephews, twenty-five great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Bell Carr.
A private graveside service will be conducted Monday, March 11, 2013 at Rock Creek Cemetery in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Arrangements are being handled by Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, Indiana.
