South Plainfield - Diane (Pasquarello) Hunterton, 47, died on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Overlook Hospital in Summit after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Plainfield, Diane was raised and resided in Piscataway before settling in South Plainfield in 1988.
A 1980 graduate from Piscataway High School, Diane spent most her free time volunteering. She was a member of the South Plainfield C.E.R.T, and an original member of the South Plainfield Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Team.
Mrs. Hunterton was also a member of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield where for the past 5 years she volunteered as a teacher for the church’s CCD program.
For several years, Diane worked as a Private Home Health Care Giver in Middlesex and currently she was working as a Teachers Aide for the Sundance preschool program in North Plainfield.
An avid reader, Diane enjoyed to cook and loved spending time at the beach. For several years and up to these past few months, she was active with sports. She played softball in the Piscataway Department of Recreation Women’s league as well as the township’s volleyball league on team "No Name". In addition, Diane was a member of the 3rd Saturday Nighters Bowling League in Edison.
She was a generous and outgoing woman who always thought of and put others before herself and will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Hunterton is predeceased by her mother Antoinette Pasquarello and by her brother Frank who died on March 28, 2008.
Surviving Diane is her loving family. Her husband Thomas, 2 daughters; Amanda and Sarah Hunterton, her son Scott Hunterton, her father Nicholas Pasquarello of Piscataway, her sister Linda Brensinger and her husband Robert also of Piscataway, her mother in law Carol Hunterton of South Plainfield sister in laws; Dawn Hunterton of South Plainfield and Diana Pasquarello of Easton, PA., her brother in law David Hunterton and his wife Val of South Plainfield, her nieces and nephews; Jason and his wife Susan Cesare, Robert Brensinger Jr., and Samantha and Cody Hunterton and her great nephew Dylan Cesare. Also surviving are numerous extended relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 9:45 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:30 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
