Obituary:

Lucille Wierzba age 98, of the Town of Sharon, passed away at her home surrounded by her family, and under the care of Ministry Hospice Care Saturday morning January 12, 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. Gregory Michaud will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:45 AM Tuesday at the church. The Sacred Heart Rosary Society of which Lucille was a 65 year member will pray a rosary at 10:00 AM in the church on Tuesday.

Lucille was born Janurary 27, 1914 in Hatley, the daughter of Michael and Agnes (Stepaniak) Jeliniski. She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School. Lucille married Steven Wierzba on November 7, 1933 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The couple settled at her current address where they farmed and raised their family. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, her flower garden, watching and feeding the birds, watching the Brewers, fishing, and Polka Music.

Lucille is survived by 8 children: Henry (Alice) Wierzba; Dolores (Peter) Wrycza; William “Billy” Wierzba; Lawrence Wierzba; Jack (Marilyn) Wierzba; Michael Wierzba all of Rosholt. Darlene (Bill) Phillip, Stevens Point; Donald (Arlene) Wierzba, Custer. 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Steven in 1988, two sons: Albert and Robert "Bobby" Wierzba, one granddaughter Lisa Wierzba, 5 sisters and 1 brother.
