ASHER, DOROTHY DIMPLE REVLETT, 92, of Louisville, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
She was born October 26, 1919 to Clyde Revlett and Josie Bates in Muhlenburg Co., KY and was a member of Hikes Point Christian Church. Dottie was spirited, resilient, determined, direct and honest. Her fun-loving personality and sense of humor attracted many people. She was a talented athlete in earlier years having started one of the first all women's sports teams in Muhlenberg Co., an avid and highly skilled golfer and lifelong UK fan. Dottie knew she would be in heaven with her beloved son, Jim and was ready at the time of her passing.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Jim Asher; and two sisters; and is survived by her daughter-in-law, Vicki Asher; and a sister, Nelda Vincent; nieces and nephews.
Funeral ceremony will be 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
