Edwin Edgar Bolton, Jr., 90, of Frey Village, Middletown, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2011, in the Blue Ridge Golden Living Center, Harrisburg.
Born in Hummelstown on February 17, 1921, he was the son of the late Edwin E., Sr., and Lillie Shuey Bolton.
Ed retired as a printer from Cleveland Brothers Equipment Company. He was a graduate of the Harrisburg Academy. Ed was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown. He was a life member of the NRA; and a former member of the Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers Association. An incredible and interesting man with many talents, Ed enjoyed wood carving, wood working, hunting, cooking, canning, model railroading, photography, and millinery.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Sprow Bolton, on October 10, 1998; and by a sister, Lillias Fry.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2011, at 1:30 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Arthur F. Sonnenberg, Chaplain at Frey Village, officiating. Interment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. Friends are invited to the viewing Friday in the funeral home from 12:30 PM until time of the services.
