Aaron Lee Broadnax, 19, of 281 Hendricks Rd., Rydal passed away on Friday, May 25, 2007. Born on April 27, 1988 in Atlanta, he was the son of Deidre and Jeffery Broadnax. Aaron attended Cass High School and had recently completed Army basic training. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his brothers and sisters, listening to music and cutting up with his friends.
Survivors include his fiancé, Britni Fowler of Rydal; his parents, Deidre and Jeff Broadnax of Emerson; his step-father, Ben Rakestraw of Acworth; his soon-to-be in-laws, Crystal and Tony Murdock of Cartersville; his soon-to-be father-in-law, Brian Fowler of Rydal; his sisters, Nikkie Broadnax and Elizabeth Rakestraw; his brothers, Tayler Broadnax, Seth Broadnax and Kasey Rakestraw; his grandparents, Mary Smith of College Park, Kathy Vaughn of Emerson, Phyllis and Bennie Hegwood of Social Circle, Betty and Ed Hudson of Acworth, Sherry and Paul Rakestraw of Canton, Francis Cornett of Acworth, and Elizabeth Fowler of Cartersville; his aunts and uncles, Tammy and Mike Broadnax of Social Circle, Bob and Lori Weatherford of Acworth, Big Rick Brawner of Acworth, Little Rick Brawner of Acworth, Matt and Melissa Rakestraw of Acworth, and Jessica and Brad Belzer of Acworth; his best friends, Zach Deason, Steven Harris, Chad Coleman, and Hannah and Jason Nolan; family friend, Terry Bryant; his grandparents, Carol and Tommy Vaughn; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville.
The family will receive friends from 5 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
