Paul had a passion for life which he often expressed through playing - and listening - to music. He loved the mountains and the beach, and was fond of feeding the birds and looking up at the stars. Over the years, he also developed an interest in photography. Above all else, Paul valued and loved people... He loved the people he worked with and enjoyed "mentoring" them to be better at their jobs. He loved his friends and family. Most of all he loved his wife and children including his cherished new granddaughter, Zoe. Paul lived the majority of his life in Webster Groves, Missouri. He graduated from Webster Groves High School and Washington University with a master's degree in electrical engineering. He took time away from college to pursue music professionally in Kansas City which fostered his great love for guitar. He married Karen in 1978 and had 3 children soon thereafter. His professional career started with McDonnell Douglas and continued with General American. In 2004 he moved to Denver to further his career with Great West Life. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He is survived by his mother Vernice "Sally" Wehling; wife, Karen; children Beth Slaboda (Stephen) and granddaughter Zoe; sons Robert and Jonathon; brothers John Wehling (Beth); Tom Wehling (Jennifer); sister Leslie Bolin (Jim); nine nephews and many friends.
