Anne LaVerne Reagan of Longmont, Colorado, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 21, 2006 at her home. She was 87 years old.
LaVerne was born September 10, 1919 in Anthony, Kansas to George Clay and Dollie Ruth (Mock) Ferrell. Her family originally came to Colorado in a covered wagon. She had marriages to Bill Monroe, Ray Linder, and Lee Reagan.
LaVerne worked for several years as a cook for the Longmont Hospital and also spent 25 years as kitchen manager with the Longmont Elks Lodge. She was a member of Twin Peaks Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking for her family, and reading her Bible. However, visiting with and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and the many others in her life gave her the greatest joy.
She is survived by five sons, Wiley Monroe and his wife, Patricia, of Flagstaff, Arizona, Eric Monroe of Pueblo, Colorado, Michael Monroe of Gypsum, Colorado, Daniel Monroe of Longmont, Colorado, and Lonnie Monroe of Berwick, Maine; two daughters, Kandice Candi Lunderborg and her husband, Mike, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Nanette Linder of Longmont, Colorado; a sister, Marjorie Kitch of Alamosa, Colorado; a brother-in-law, Gary French of Rock Springs, Wyoming; fourteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wiley C. Ferrell; and two sisters, Eudora Peggy Schneider, and Billie Ruth French.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation services, Longmont. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2006 at Twin Peaks Church, 703 W. 17th Ave., Longmont with Pastor John White officiating.
