Shu Qin Kou, 93, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2009, at the Manor in Freehold. Mrs. Kou was born on Dec. 31, 1915 in Beijing, China. She graduated from Tsinghua University in 1938. She came to the U.S. A. to study in the University of Michigan and received her Masters degree. She also studied in Columbia University. Mrs. Kou went back to China in 1957 and was an English professor in Tsinghua University for 18 years before retiring in 1976. Mrs. Kou moved to the U.S. A. in 1993, and had lived in Freehold for 16 years.
Mrs. Kou is survived by her husband Yu Zhang Xie; a daughter Rose Ng and her husband, Peter Ng; two grandsons, Victor Ng and Albert Ng; and a granddaughter Felicia Ng.
